Buckingham Palace - UK/India Year Of Culture Projection

Design and concept for projection launching UK/India Year of Culture in London, Buckingham Palace, 2017. Commissioned by British Council, working with Ruth Ur.

Using the symbol of a dancer to represent India’s rich and diverse arts, 30 figures from traditional and contemporary Indian dance forms, made up the gigantic plume of a peacock, India’s national bird.

Projected onto Buckingham Palace, during the opening party held inside. The image of the peacock projection is estimated to have been shared globally over 330 million times.

Design for India launch at British Council Delhi headquarters also featured.

Featured on multiple TV & National newspapers outlets UK, India and USA.
