Festival Of Light - Cambridge Botanic Gardens

Design, concept and production of a large-scale public installation for the University of Cambridge Museums and Botanic Gardens. October 2017.

The design of intricate, laser-cut panels, drew inspiration from objects and patterns from across the museums’ South Asian collections, to form the foliage of a intricate banyan tree.

Installed in the facade of the botanic glasshouse, the piece was the centrepiece to the museums’ Diwali festival, drawing a crowd of over 5000 people. The work was also featured on BBC breakfast.

We also produced a printed museum trail featuring key South Asian objects from across the cities 8 museums collections.
